Club Meeting 9-January-2010
Meeting started at 08:00 hrs at Denny's Loop 610 at T.C. Jester.
5 Members were in attendance:
KE5UIP/W5PCJ/KK5TC/KE5LYT/KE5VNX

Old business mentioned:

1. 10-10 Contest comming in Febuary. It was mentioned that we should use the club call. We can meet at KK5TC as a group. Take turns in 2 hour shifts. We could set up a schedule to be followed so we can participate from home.

New business:

1.Fish Fry time to grub. Let all get togather and eat.

2. Going fishing, this would give us a chance to set up some field day antennas.
We could go on an Flounder trip.

3. Certificates, the club would like to give out awards for diffrent
accomplishments. ie most improved station, golden screwdriver, most
participation, ideas are welcome.

4. Starting a 40 meter net. Everyone agrees that this would be fun. Net Control
anyone.

5. The 40 meter net started the next topic of antenna NVIS, Fan Dipole

6. Working diffrent bands, 60 meter, 40 meters.

7. March 6 Wedding for KE5UIP Bob Norris. It was suggested that SETXAC do the
communication for the Wedding. We can keep an eye on the Groom.

8. ANTRENNA PARTY AT KE5UIP, detail to be announced after the Honeymoon cruise.

We voted on weather KE5UIP should take a radio on the ship. What do you think?

Club meeting 19 Sept. 2009
Meeting started at 08:00 hrs at Denny’s Loop 610 at T.C. Jester

No old business mentioned.

New business

1. Becoming move active on the radio as a club.

A. 10-10 contest: K5JWM and KK5TC with work on this. Joe is sending KK5TC
a link.
B. A QSO party was talked about. Nothing defended.

2. Membership

A. Club dues are 20.00 annually. Some members have exceeded this amount.
B. Data base, KD5ZZA passed out index cards; members filed them out with personal information. This cards will be kelp and the information transposed to a members only section of the website.

Next meeting will be 2/13/2010

3 Fund Raising

A. Donate to S.E.T.X.A.C: members can donate anything that can be used or sold. The donated items will be sold at the Pearland Ham feast tailgate. Proceeds will benefit the club.
B. Breakfast at the Tailgate, will be at Hwy 518 & Hwy35 at the Busy Bee Café. We should meet for breakfast at 06:00 hrs.

4 Civic Activities

A. Boy Scott Jamboree. The Boy Scots of America will hold a “Jamboree on
The Air”, on November 17th & 18th 2009. KE5VNX will find out more
information several members willing to participate.
B. Houston’s Moonlight Bike Ramble, November 1 2009.The ramble starts at George R Brown (GRB) and rolls through 20 miles of Houston and ends at G RB. There are two routes, a 20-mile route and a 8-mile route. This is a family event all ages will attend. Several members will participate.

5 Social Event

A. Bar B. Q. Cookout. The club members and guest will meet at KK5TC’s home for a grand old cook out. Bring a covered dish. This event will be on November 8th 2009. More information will be posted and talked about over the air on H.F. and 146.920. During this event we can encourage club membership.

Club Meeting
SETAC will hold its 1st swap net on the Saltgrass system Thursday night at 8 pm.
Volunteer net controllers are KE5ZVD, KE5ORA, KK5TC.
Club has agreed on the texas background with the star in the middle as the club logo.
SETAC next test sessions will be 12/12/09 @10am at the acres home library at 8501 W.Montgomery.
We will be testing all elements.

The next meeting will be held at Denny's on 610 & TC Jester.
Breakfast for early risers at 7 am and the meeting will start at 8 am.
